How to connect your store

Four steps from download to your first audit. Setup takes under 10 minutes. You need a Claude desktop account (free plan works) and your Shopify store URL.

Download and install

Purchase on Gumroad and download the .skill file. Open Claude desktop and drag the file into the Skills panel. It installs in seconds.

Go to Claude desktop → Skills panel → drag .skill file in.
The skill appears in your skill list immediately.

Create your project folder

Open Cowork in Claude desktop. Create a new project called SEO Intel Store Auditor. This is where the skill saves your store profile and session history.

Cowork → New Project → name it exactly:

Connect your Shopify store

In Cowork, open the Connectors panel and connect Shopify. Enter your store URL when prompted. This gives the skill read and write access to your product listings.

Cowork → Connectors → Shopify → Connect.
Enter your URL as yourstore.myshopify.com (no https://).

Run Setup

Type set up in the Cowork chat. The skill asks four questions, one at a time: business name, store URL, GMC account ID, and brand voice. Under 10 minutes.

After setup, the skill saves your store profile and confirms what each mode will do. You are ready to audit.

  • Every GMC finding cites the exact text on your store and the exact Google policy line it conflicts with
  • GMC compliance check runs automatically before every product change, so nothing goes live with a known issue
  • Learns your working pattern and gets faster with each session
  • Works on any Shopify store, not just your own. One purchase covers every store you connect
  • Flags manual actions with clear, plain-step instructions rather than leaving you to figure it out
  • Keeps a session log of every change made and every issue outstanding
What it cannot do
  • It cannot guarantee GMC reinstatement. Google makes that decision. The skill improves your compliance position, it does not control the outcome
  • Products you update manually in Shopify, outside the skill, are not automatically checked. Run a full GMC audit after any manual changes
  • It requires Claude desktop and the Cowork feature. Both are free to set up but they are required
  • Structured data fixes, URL redirects, and sitemap submission require changes in your Shopify theme or Google Search Console. The skill tells you exactly what to do, but you carry out those steps
  • Product titles are never changed without your explicit confirmation, because a title change affects your URL and any links already in circulation
  • It audits your store against published Google policy and SEO standards. It does not predict unpublished Google algorithm changes
This skill is an opportunity to audit your store and get guided, evidence-backed information. It is not a one-stop shop that guarantees your appeal will succeed. Fix the findings, complete the remediation steps in your own words, and you give your store the best possible compliance position. We do not guarantee Google's response.
